Easy step-by-step directions from the Valletta Cruise Terminal to our train departure point.
Follow these simple steps from the Valletta Waterfront to our Valletta train
Once you disembark at the Valletta Waterfront, exit the terminal area. You will find yourself on the waterfront road called “Pinto Wharf.”
Turn right and walk along the Valletta Waterfront, heading towards the city. You will pass various shops and restaurants along the way.
Continue walking until you see the Barrakka Lift โ a convenient way to reach the city centre. The lift takes you directly to the Upper Barrakka Gardens. A small fee is charged (around โฌ1, free for cruise passengers on the way up).
Exit the lift at the top and find yourself in the Upper Barrakka Gardens. From here, you will have a great view of the Grand Harbour.
From the gardens, exit onto Castille Place. Continue straight past the Auberge de Castille, the office of the Prime Minister of Malta.
Walk straight down the main street past the first set of restaurants with the tents.
Continue walking along Merchants Street past the restaurants and turn left onto Triq San Gwann. Here you will find the Valletta train next to St. John’s Co-Cathedral. Check our signs for the next departure!
Simply search for “Valletta Waterfront” as your starting point, then follow the route to St. John’s Co-Cathedral.
